　　连接的从句不同。such that作“如此…以致”解，连接一个表示结果的状语从句，与so that意思相同，但用法不同。后接词词性不同。so后边可加形容词或副词，而such后要用名词。

　　例句：It was so cold outside that we had to stop the game.

　　2、such that：such后要用名词。

　　二、后面所接名词修饰词不同

　　如果such后边的名词是由many、much、few、little等词修饰的话，则不用such，而使用so。

　　例句：He is such a little boy that he can’t lift the box.

　　三、词性及用法不同

　　1、so that：so是副词，与形容词或副词连用，其结构是so+adj.(adv.)+that从句。

　　2、such that：such是形容词，它所修饰的名词可以是可数名词，也可以是不可数名词;名词前面可以带形容词，也可以不带。如果其后是单数可数名词，前面需加不定冠词a或an。

　　suchas和forexample的区别

　　such as和for example的区别主要有三个方面，分别是意思不同、用法不同、侧重点不同。具体如下：

　　一、意思不同

　　1、such as：例如，像。

　　2、for example：比如。

　　二、用法不同

　　1、such as：such常与as连用，用于列举事物，意为“例如，像…一样”，其后所述数量也不可全部列出，偶尔可用etc.。such as在同一句中也可分开配合使用，此时as在从句中用作主语或宾语。

　　2、for example：for example的意思是“例如”或“譬如”，无论举出一个或几个例证，example都须用单数形式。常用作插入语，可缩写为e.g.。用了for example，就不宜再用etc.。

　　三、侧重点不同

　　1、such as：作类比用，后面跟着这一类的几个。

　　2、for example：作单独举例用，后面的一个作为主体。
