tool与tools用法上有什么区别，分别是什么意思
“'s”看似简单，用起来麻烦。它不仅具有较强的兼容性，即代表的形式多、内容广，而且具有形同“神”异的隐含性，即形式一样而代表的内容不同，这就决定了“'s”用法上的复杂性。鉴于此，笔者特将“'s”的用法扫描如下：
一、's用来表示名词所有格。例如：
June 1 is International Children's Day. 六月一日是国际儿童节。
Those clothes are Jim's and Kate's. 那些衣服是吉姆的和凯特的。
有时，可采用“of+名词所有格”形式。例如：
Some friends of my brother's are to visit us tomorrow. 我哥哥的一些朋友明天要来看望我们。
二、's用来表示缩写
1. 在“主系表”句型中表示is的缩写。例如：
Who's on duty today? 今天谁值日?
2. 在be going to 中代表助词is的缩写。例如：
She's going to attend a concert. 她打算去参加一个音乐会。
3. 在现在进行时中代表助动词is的缩写。例如：
He's watching TV instead of doing homework. 他在看电视而不是在做作业。
4. 在现在完成时中代表助动词has的缩写。例如：
He's taught us English for two years. 他教我们英语已经两年了。
He's been ill for a week. 他已经病了一个星期了。
5. 在被动语态中代表is或has的缩写。例如：
Where's the boy born? 这个男孩在哪里出生?
It's been thrown away. 它已经被扔掉了。
6. 在there's...结构中代表is或has的缩写。例如：
There's an egg and two pieces of bread on the plate. 盘子里有一个鸡蛋和两块面包。
There's been much talk about the matter. 关于这件事有过很多谈论。
7. 在here's... 中代表is的缩写。例如：
Here's a letter for you. 这是给你的信。
8. 在let's...句型中代表us的缩写。例如：
Let's start at once, shall we? 我们马上出发吧，好吗?
请注意：
1) 当is或has出现在句尾时，不能跟其前面的名词或代词构成缩写形式。例如：
Here it is. 不能写成Here it's.
Yes, he has. 不能写成Yes, he's.
